Dr. Brook Bolander
For the past year I have taken two hours of private lessons weekly with Geetanjali Dhar, head of Sanskriti. I work as an Assistant Professor in the School of English at The University of Hong Kong, and one of my research interests lies in studying the role of English amongst globally dispersed transnational South Asian communities. I was thus motivated to learn Hindi with the aim of being able to use it in my work. This past year has been wonderful. I have learned so much, and thoroughly enjoyed my lessons at the same time. The dedicated one-on-one and focus on speaking, listening, reading and writing has given me a sound feeling for the language, and a baseline I am certain to build on. Many thanks Geetanjali!
Sanskriti has helped my son in a very interesting way and kept him engaged.
It has constantly given him opportunities to improve his Hindi and to help him get better and develop his speaking, reading, writing and listening skills. They have done this through plays, songs and small but fun exercises that kept him involved and interested in Hindi and Indian culture.I am very grateful for sanskriti and the skills they have taught him throughout his time with them.

A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind & touches a heart”.
Mrs Geetanjali Dhar fits in perfect to this description.
“Sanskriti “by Mrs Dhar is an excellent forum for all children in Hong Kong to learn and understand the Indian culture and show eminence in verbal and written Hindi.
My son always looks forward to the language and culture classes and events organised by Sanskriti.
We are very thankful and extremely grateful to Mrs Dhar for creating such a distinct forum teaching Indian culture and Indian language in Hong Kong.

My daughter began the Muskan programme of Sanskriti when she was two and half years old. Thanks to Geetanjali and her wonderful programme,
My daughter and her peers are not only communicating in Hindi but have all developed a passion for the language.
Sanskriti is a programme that builds confidence, cultural awareness and a genuine love for the Indian language through disciplined and focused fun.
Kids are encouraged to explore their creative side through arts and crafts, encouraged to express themselves through songs and poems and taught the fundamentals of the language. Geetanjali is an extremely passionate, kind and focused teacher who encourages children to be proud of their roots.
I would highly recommend this programme to all children who are keen to learn Hindi.

Within a span of 4 months Jiya has picked up many hindi words and small phrases. She loves singing hindi rhymes and along the way has motivated her two older brothers also to learn hindi. At Sanskriti, hindi is taught in a happy and fun manner.
She even has a hindi song cd which is constantly being played in the house and enjoyed by all young and old! What was very impressive was to see the 3 to 4 year olds perform on stage in front of ~100 people or so with such confidence. Speaking in a language which happens to be their mother tounge but unfortunately not spoken as much.
We are very pleased with Jiya’s progress at Sanskriti and I would like to end by saying that Jiya really looks forward to Saturday mornings and the first thing she asks when she opens her eyes is “Mama, do i have my hindi class today?
Charlotte enjoys going to Sanskriti because the teacher teaches with passion, positive energy and smile.
The program had bought Charlotte closer to her grandparents and her roots. Sanskriti uses various ways to teach. It makes the class interesting and easy to learn.
Dear Mrs.Dhar – You are the best teacher and I love you very much. Thank you for being my teacher and you are fun in everything you do. I miss you very much.
Lots of love,
Thank you so much for a wonderful Utsav 2013 !!! Starting with Muskaan to the play…
it was outstanding !! Loved their performances and dresses. Applause for giving the kids such a lovely platform.
I am sure you would be resting after the success of the event…Arnav was super thrilled to get the trophy and thank you so much for organizing. I feel proud of the fact that despite learning just the basics he could do so much. For me ~ he dressed up, spoke lines and danced ! The complete wholesome package!
I was really, really proud of both my girls. Urvi especially has come a long way. She did the dance really well and the speech too!
Thank you so much for putting all that effort and enabling both of them to become more confident persons. Much appreciated.
Thanks you very much for your feedback. Hats off to your dedication, enthusiasm and love for teaching kids. We have been very fortunate to have been able to find such a great Hindi program for our child in a foreign country.
We will be in India during our Easter break and are looking forward to get Ritvik more close to our culture and language.
